RACHEL AND MARC

I loved working with Rachel! When we first started discussing her wedding, she told me that she wanted it to feel like an English garden, romantic and magical, a la “Mid Summer Night’s Dream”. She wanted the ballroom filled with beautiful lighting and guests to feel like they were eating and dancing under the stars.

So, we scattered large 20’ tall trees throughout Cherokee Country Club’s beautiful ballroom, combined with generous candlelight, reflective surfaces, accent lighting, and touches of gold. The entire ballroom had the most beautiful glow!

We also made a point to integrate Rachel and Marc’s favorite things. Lavender was tied to the place cards, in the signature drink, and each guest received a small box of lavender infused truffles as a thank you. (And there wasn’t a single truffle left at the end of the night!) The couple’s favorite color is blue so we incorporated varying shades throughout the florals, attire, and place settings, still keeping the overall look light and fresh. And we made paper cones out of an old copy of “Pride and Prejudice”, Rachel’s favorite novel. The cones held rose petals for their grand exit.

The overall feeling was was elegant, yet comfortable and the room was full of love for Rachel and Marc. Guests literally kicked off their heels and danced until the band played its last note.

Thank you Natalie Watson and Watson-Studios for the beautiful images!

Peach Inspiration Shoot in Smitten Magazine

It was a lot of fun helping Julie Roberts create this peach inspired photo shoot for her photography workshop last summer.  We had to go to Plan B because it rained ALL DAY.  But, just like a real wedding you can’t control mother nature.  So we rolled with punches, moved everything under cover, and still created something beautiful!

You can view the feature in Smitten Magazine HERE.
